Within the last year, God instructed Pastor Lynn to have the Agape body of believers begin giving money to make the building behind the church sanctuary into a functional facility.  The main intent of the facility was to serve the Raize youth, as they have outgrown the house where they currently hold services.  In addition, the facility is to be used for church-wide fellowships and a place for the men and ladies groups to meet during the week. 

The facility has been named “The Refuge”.  The word refuge means a place or state of safety.  It is shelter or protection from danger or distress.  Since the main function of The Refuge is to provide a meeting place for Agape’s youth, it seems fitting for it to provide a place for them to freely worship God without fear. 

Thus far, The Refuge has a new floor, rafters, bricked front, electrical wiring, etc.  The next step is to raise enough money to insulate the building, which will require approximately $8K.  After that, the next biggest hurdle is to raise $20K for the heating and air conditioning units.  Agape is committed to finish this building debt-free and believes that is God’s plan for them.

God desires that the church at large awaken a generation of young people with a passion to worship Him.  Agape is working to be a part!
